SEA SHEPHERD: Odds and Ends
These are little snaps I didn’t add to the other photosets because they didn’t quite fit. Among them:
- The view from the boatdeck of Bob Barker looking up at her bridge. I’m not sure what the number is but it framed the whole image quite nicely.
- Then, same place just 180* around looking out over the foredeck and the Sea Shepherd flag flying.
- Some of the battle scars from her previous encounters.
- A shot along her starboard side bow from the Quay dock because I’m a mad skilled photographer like that. And because, I’ll happily confess, it looks awesome.
- Some pink paintballs shot at her by the crew of the Brigitte Bardot as they were docking, for funsies I do believe.
- A surprise when I was waiting to board the Brigitte Bardot, a gorgeous female Eclectus called Ruby. She sat on my shoulder for a few minutes, gave me a few kisses and let me scritch her neckfluff. She was very polite for an Eccie, I’m used to them being fairly boisterous birds.
- The load line/Plimsoll line markings running her bow, and a nice shot of her nose art: a nice snarly, toothy grin.
- The water in the Quay was gorgeous, though dirty as any highly used port is, and refracted the rich sunlight beautifully so I snapped a shot.
